Médiamat'Thématik is the system used for audience measurement of viewers who receive TV by Cable, Satellite or ADSL.

Médiamat'Thématik is the enriched version of MédiaCabSat survey.
This new version will be published from 13th july, 2010. The audience measuerment is still automated, but it concerns a hundred of channels and covers 30 million of persons, then twice more than MédiaCabSat survey.

Based on audimetric information acquisition, Médiamat'Thématik permanently measures the viewing behaviour of individuals aged 4 and over whose households receive television by either analogical or digital cable, Satellite or TV by ADSL.

It has around 2,000 households, nearly 5,500 individuals.

  • Find out the audience scores in different categories for cable, satellite or ADSL channels 
  • Analyse accurately individuals' behaviour in relation to television: loyalty, whether they watch several channels, amount of exposure to an advertising campaign
  • Define a channel's audience, for example according to the main socio-demographic criteria
  • Find out, for example, if the target reached is wide or selective.

The new measurement began in mid-February 2001. 18 waves of results are now available:

  • Wave 1: 19th February 2001 to 29th July 2001
  • Wave 2: 3rd September 2001 to 17th February 2001
  • Wave 3: 31st December 2001 to 16th June 2002
  • Wave 4: 2nd September 2002 to 16th February 2003
  • Wave 5: 30th December 2002 to 15th June 2003
  • Wave 6: 1st September 2003 to 15th February 2004
  • Wave 7: 29th December 2003 to 13th June 2004
  • Wave 8: 30th August 2004 to 13th February 2005
  • Wave 9: 27th December 2004 to 12th June 2005
  • Wave 10: 5th September 2005 to 19th February 2006
  • Wave 11: 26th September 2005 to 11th June 2006 
  • Wave 12: 4th September 2006 to 18th February 2007
  • Wave 13: 1st January 2007 to 17th June 2007
  • Wave 14: 3rd September 2007 to 17th February 2008
  • Wave 15: 31st December 2007 to 15th June 2008
  • Wave 16: 1st September 2008 to 15th February 2009
  • Wave 17 : 29th December 2008 to 14th June 2009
  • Wave 18 : 31st August 2009 to 14th February 2010

MédiaCabSat become Médiamat'Thématik

  • Wave 19 : 28th December 2009 to 13th June 2010

Alll subscribers have results for 26 standard targets over a six-monthly total. The results are delivered via the Athema Web interfaces and MédiaCabSat software.
