TNS Gallup Norway - part of the Kantar Media  Group - will use the Médiamétrie technology RateOnAir for all it’ s ratings measurement  of non-domestic  TV  and video viewed by its  reference audience  in Norway.

The non-domestic measurement will be based  on a panel of 1500 individuals that will be permanently equipped with miniaturized RateOnAir audimeters. The audimeters - that function via a watermarking process - are able to  recognize all the TV and video content that the panelists are watching  during  the day and  outside their homes . Kantar Media chose this technology as part of their  proposal to the Norweigan channels and which  was chosen to measure TV and video audiences  from 2018 onwards.  The technology will enable TNS Gallup Norway to track viewers  and identify when and where  they are screening content and the device being used.  The domestic viewing measurement will be handled by a Kantar Media Group technology.
