Lorie Dudoignon appointed Scientific Innovation Director of Médiamétrie


Lorie Dudoignon has been appointed Scientific Innovation Director of Médiamétrie.

Her role is to co-ordinate scientific monitoring and lead cross-disciplinary discussions on research and innovation efforts. She will also foster partnerships with academia and carry out work related to the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

These activities are in addition to jointly managing Médiamétrie's DataLab, a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to Research and Development of new technologies and methods related to Big Data and Data Science.

Lorie continues to work under Aurélie Vanheuverzwyn, Director of Scientific Analyses and Methods of Médiamétrie.

A graduate of ENSAI (French National School of Statistics and Information Analysis) in 2000, Lorie Dudoignon also holds a postgraduate DEA in Pure and Applied Mathematics. She initially worked at a Joint Research Unit in Marseille. In 2002, she joined the Scientific Division at Médiamétrie, working on the principal changes to Médiamat (structure and size of the panel and integrating the timeshifted and catch-up TV audiences etc.), as well as on the development of new measurement systems, in particular hybrid TV measurement.

Lorie is a member of the SFdS (French Statistics Society) and in 2015, became an elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), the oldest learned statistics society, created in 1885.

Lorie has spoken at conferences in France and abroad on many occasions, such as SFdS Journées de Statistique (Statistics Days) and the European Media Research Organisations Conference. In addition, many of her works have been published in both French and English journals, the most recent including "Mesure hybride de l'audience TV" (Hybrid Measurement of TV Audiences) and "Mise en place d’une mesure d’audience individuelle des tablettes" (Implementing an Individual Audience Measurement for Tablets) in 2014.

She is also a member of the Scientific Committee for the 9th Colloque Francophone de Sondages (French-speaking Symposium on Surveys) which will take place in Quebec in October 2016.
